Mohammad Sobhe Samhan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Water Science Innovations. Before starting his PhD, Mohammad gained over four years of industrial experience at Birzeit Pharmaceutical Company, where he worked as a Stability Studies Supervisor in the Quality Control Department. In this role, he developed extensive expertise in quality assurance protocols and the operation of advanced analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, LC–MS/MS, and GC–MS, for the analysis of complex matrices and micropollutants.
Within the SAGE research framework, Mohammad’s PhD project focuses on tracking per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and link it with the heavy metal and Pharmaceuticals residue in treated water at Jordan Valley as study area and other emerging contaminants in agricultural water reuse systems in the. Using an interdisciplinary One Health approach, his research investigates contaminant mobility, soil–crop transfer, and human and ecological exposure pathways in this water-scarce region. The project aims to support sustainable agricultural practices and evidence-based water management policies for safe water reuse.
