Ahmad Hijawi is a Palestinian PhD fellow in the SAGE Research School on Climate Change Studies. He holds a BA in Economics from Al-Quds Bard College and a dual MA in International Relations and Global Studies from Central European University and Bard College. His academic and professional interests focus on climate governance, ethics, international relations, and development in conflict-affected contexts. Before joining SAGE, he worked in humanitarian and development programming in Palestine, particularly on governance, accountability, community engagement, and support to vulnerable communities.
