Ahmed Shaqfa is a water and environmental engineer, with over 9 years of experience in wastewater process engineering, water supply systems, groundwater modelling, and GIS. He is an associate member of the International Water Association’s (IWA) Modelling and Integrated Assessment (MIA) group. Ahmed holds a M.Sc. in Water Resources Engineering and a B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the Islamic University, Palestine. He is currently a doctoral researcher at the Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus-Senftenberg within the Department of Environmental and Resource Management, specifically affiliated with the Chair of Environmental Economics. His research, in collaboration with SAGE, focuses on the economic analysis of rangeland restoration by using the contour ridges rainwater harvesting method in Jordan under climate change.
