Qais Daraghma holds an MSc in Water and Environmental Engineering from An-Najah National University and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Prior to joining the SAGE Research School, he worked as a Project Coordinator at the Palestinian Ministry of Local Government, contributing to the implementation and supervision of water and infrastructure projects across the West Bank. His academic and professional background encompasses water resources management, hydrology, climate change, and environmental sustainability, and has been enriched through participation in international scientific and training programmes.
As a SAGE Fellow, Qais is pursuing a PhD in Environmental and Resource Management at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus–Senftenberg. His research integrates hydrology, climate change, environmental economics, and spatial analysis to support evidence-based decision-making for sustainable management of Jordanian rangelands and water resources.
