Sami Mujahed

Sami Mujahed, an agricultural engineer with an M.Sc in Plant Protection from CIHEAM IAMB University and a B.A in Plant Production and Protection from Hebron University, brings valuable experience, particularly in Roof-Top gardening from his three-year tenure at ARIJ institute. In his role at SAGE, Sami’s research focuses on utilizing the West Bank as a case study to assess the efficacy and affordability of green rooftop methods. Specifically, he employs wicking beds with various cultures to examine how the integration of wild plants on rooftops can enhance pollination services, thereby increasing insect biodiversity and vegetated roof yields simultaneously.
