Anan Jayyousi

Professor Jayyousi brings over 30 years of expertise in the water and sanitation sector, specializing in areas such as planning, regulation, institutional frameworks, and investment analysis. He has led and contributed to numerous projects on national, regional, and international levels, with a focus on water management and capacity building. His experience spans multiple countries, including Palestine, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, and Egypt, and he possesses a unique blend of knowledge in both water and sanitation issues. Over his career, Professor Jayyousi has collaborated with various donors and governmental bodies, including the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA), Palestinian National Authority, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), USAID, World Bank, Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Water Resources Action Program (WRAP), UNESCO, TAMKEEN, and the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GIZ), among others.
 
He has served on the Board of Directors of the Water Sector Regulatory Council and currently holds the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Water Resources Management. Additionally, he directs the Energy, Water, and Food Security Research Centre at An-Najah National University.
