This project focuses on developing early warning indicators for rangeland ecosystems in the Jordan River region facing climate change and land-use pressures. Driven by the threat of irreversible tipping points caused by extreme droughts and intense grazing, the project utilizes a region-wide experimental platform to analyze shifts in plant productivity, biodiversity, and soil properties. Ultimately, the goal is to deliver actionable diagnostic metrics and decision-support frameworks that define a safe operating space for sustainable rangeland management and timely stakeholder intervention.
