This research focuses on understanding how climate change, particularly increasing drought, and land-use pressures such as grazing influence the resilience of rangeland ecosystems. The aim is to identify ecological indicators that can detect early signs of ecosystem degradation before irreversible tipping points are reached. At the same time, effective ecosystem management requires collaboration with local communities. Integrating community-based monitoring with ecological field research can strengthen long-term environmental data collection, support land management, and natural resources sovereignty. By combining scientific approaches with participatory methods, the project contributes practical, evidence-based solutions that enhance ecosystem resilience and climate adaptation in the Jordan River Basin.
