Frank Wätzold

Frank Wätzold is Professor for Environmental Economics at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg. His research interests include the economic analysis of biodiversity conservation, ecosystem service preservation and climate change adaptation. He has been active in policy advice, for example as a consultant for the OECD and as a member of the advisory board for Biodiversity and Genetic Resources at the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Germany. In 2018, he received the UFZ-Research award together with Martin Drechsler and Karin Johst for their work on the development of ecological-economic modelling.
