Sara Tomiolo is a global change ecologist at the University of Tübingen. Her research focuses on the effects of multiple global change stressors (natural and anthropogenic) on plant populations and communities. She has investigated these questions in the context of climate change, land-use change and, more recently, microplastic and heavy metal contamination. Her research within SAGE focuses on the effects of multiple stressors, such as microplastic in soil, heavy metal pollution and climate change on wild plants and agricultural crops.
